Adequate and sustained funding is a key element to ensure a traffic incident management (TIM) program’s success. Building upon the successful webinar held this past December that featured several state-level TIM funding case studies, the TIM Network and FHWA will host a locally focused funding webinar. Please join us on March 5, 2015, from 12:00-1:30 PM EST to hear from and engage in discussion with those who want to make you more successful in securing funding at the local level for TIM projects.
While federal and state funding for TIM is available and a tremendous resource to help sustain TIM programs, what else can you, as emergency responders, do in your own communities? This free webinar will explore this issue and discuss opportunities to leverage local funding for TIM.
Presenters include a dedicated municipal government public safety professional with a program that is fully supported by local tax dollars, as well as the executive director of one of the more than 700 community foundations that could be a source of additional funding. A county planning representative will talk about building relationships and a vision that incorporates TIM and is the foundation for future investment.
Participants are also encouraged to share their own ideas about local funding sources. Adequate time will be allowed following the presentations for Q&A.
