TIM Community salutes the life of Frank Horne

On June 12, 2019, the world lost a true lifelong public servant when Clifford Franklin Horne Jr. (Frank) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. For the last year of his life Frank battled and defeated leukemia, but succumbed in the final hour to complications from a stem cell transplant.

Frank is and was well loved and respected by all who had the opportunity to know him. He was an undying optimist whose passion for service went unmatched.  Frank retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) after 45 years of service on January 7th, 2016. After retirement Frank stayed committed to TDOT by coming back for two 120 day assignments. During his time with TDOT Frank played a major role in starting and leading the TDOT HELP program, the Tennessee Yellow DOT program, and a senior drivers education program, among other successful activities he lead. He provided leadership for the TIM community nationwide, including a founder of the TIM Network, and was always eager to share his experiences and offer sage advice to all who asked.  As a true testament to his passion to serve, he was volunteering his time with the senior drivers program as late as earlier this year.

His passing has left a Frank size hole in many hearts. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
